The
regular slotted box is manufactured from one piece of fiberboard which is scored
and slotted to form a body having flaps for closing on each of two opposite
faces. Lengthwise flaps either meet or overlap, and inner flaps may meet depending
on the particular style of box. Slotted style boxes are also assembled from
more than one piece of fiberboard, and have only one closing face.
Five
Panel Folder (FPF)
Five
Panel Folder is formed from a single cut and scored piece of fiberboard so as
to provide an unbroken single thickness of fibreboard on three of the six surfaces
and usually a double thickness on the remaining three surfaces of the box.
One Piece Folder (1PF)
Full-Telescope
Design-Style Box (FTD)
This
style is made from 2 pieces - one body blank and one lid blank. Both pieces
are shipped flat and can be assembled using stitches, staples, or adhesive to
adhere the corners.
Full
Overlap Slotted Container (FOL)
This
style is made from a one piece blank, where the outer flaps overlap the full
width of the box. The FOL is especially resistant to rough handling and ideal
for boxes with relatively narrow widths.
Half Slotted Box With Cover (HSC)
Half-slotted
box with cover consists of body and cover sections, the cover section extending
over sides of body section less than two thirds the depth of the body (HSC and
DSC).
